PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT
The ILE and the PLDA have entered into this strategic alliance in recognition of:
- The need to develop all aspects of the lighting profession to provide for its future development in the years ahead.
- The need to foster deeper understanding between the design and engineering practitioners within the lighting profession.
- The current fragmentation of the lighting profession and the need to promote greater co-ordination amongst its different elements.
Mechanisms for the Association and the Institution to develop the Strategic Alliance include:
- Organising joint national, international and regional events.
- Providing an information exchange for members and individuals and organisations outwith lighting.
- Developing training courses jointly or with the support of each organisation.
- Producing joint publications or promoting and supporting those of each organisation.
- Disseminating and sharing technical information amongst the membership of each organisation.
- Developing the lighting profession as a career option for young people.
- Supporting and nurturing young lighting professionals.
- Revisiting the terms of this alliance on a regular basis in order to assist the organic growth of the lighting profession.
